30 Days, 99 Minutes, Day 1: What & Why
I’ve done more than 30-day hot yoga challenges at Awesome Hot Yoga (and its predecessor studio) than I can count. The idea is to show up every day, for 30 days, because I said you would.
This time, I’m not dripping sweat onto my mat. Instead, I’m on my treadmill with my laptop, committing to 99 minutes a day for 30 days—all focused on business development for Wynnford.
Why 99 Minutes?
Simple—that’s how long my treadmill runs before it shuts off. There’s no magic to the number. But for my ADHD brain, 99 minutes is perfect—it keeps me focused, keeps me moving, and gives me just enough structure to actually get stuff done. Plus, I’m earning my 25,000 steps a day.
Why Now?
Urgency has a way of finding you. Fall is right around the corner, and I want Wynnford’s business roster full.
And then there’s Wynn—yes, one of Wynnford’s namesakes. Yesterday, she had a $5,000 emergency surgery. She’s doing great now (shout out to Anderson Animal Hospital), yet that moment was my wake-up call. No more “thinking about” business development. It’s time to act.
What I’m Aiming For
Short-term: Land a few one-off projects quickly (and recover those vet fees!)
Long-term: Build momentum for fractional clients.
And along the way, I want to remind myself—and anyone following along—that execution is what counts. Done is better than incomplete, done right is better than done, and done best takes the cake. (To quote Wynnford’s fifth principle!)
How I’m Doing It
And I’m not doing it alone. I’ve enlisted an AI “hard-ass coach” to keep me honest. Today, it pushed me to stop waiting for perfection and make a damn decision. Out of all the shiny ideas, I locked the offer I’ll be driving first: the Quick Launch Kit.
Why Blog This?
Because accountability matters. Great leaders have taught me that note-takers are history makers (shout out Chad Spencer). Writing this down forces me to track the journey, learn from it, and maybe even create something valuable for other entrepreneurs.
The Final Commitment
For the next 30 days, I’ll show up. 99 minutes. Every day. No hiding, no excuses. Just executing.
Wynn’s surgery (and subsequent vet bills) reminded me: life doesn’t wait. So neither will I.
